Chauvet Helps Create Realistic Blaze at Belgium’s Lichtfestival

As part of the November Lichtfestival (Light Festival) in Ghent, Belgium, artist Michael Langeder created an exhibit that appeared to set the tower of St. Nicholas Church in the city center ablaze in simulated flames. Major Gift to NYU Tisch School of the Arts to Establish the Martin Scorsese Institute of Global Cinematic Arts

NYU Tisch School of the Arts has received a major gift from the Hobson/Lucas Family Foundation, founded by Mellody Hobson and her husband, filmmaker George Lucas. The funds will establish the Martin Scorsese Institute of Global Cinematic Arts, an academic and production institute, which will include the new Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center, the Martin Scorsese Department of Cinema Studies, and support for student scholarships.
