LD Matt Guminski Chooses Elation for JoJo’s 2017 Mad Love Tour

LOS ANGELES – LD Matt Guminski was called in to design American pop singer-songwriter JoJo’s 2017 Mad Love Tour just a week before the tour launched in February and turned to Elation Professional moving heads and effect lights to light the re-emerging popstar’s show. Touring in support of her Mad Love album which came out last October – her first album release since the mid 2000’s – JoJo is selling out 900-1800 capacity venues at nearly every stop and is clearly on her way back to top star status after charting in 2004 as a 13-year old.

NASHVILLE — Five-time Grammy nominee and multi-instrumentalist Hunter Hayes is performing this year with a lighting package provided by Bandit Lites. LD Mike Marcario is lighting the artist with fixtures mounted on pipes arranged in an arc around the stage. The pipes are mounted with GLP X4S, Chauvet Rogue and Philips Nitro 510C fixtures.

I was also intrigued to learn there was a narrative arc for the performers, because it speaks to my theatre background as well.”

PLSN Publisher and NAMM in Strategic Alliance

ANAHEIM, CA — NAMM, the National Association of Music Merchants, and Timeless Communications Corp. (TCC), publishers of Projection Lights & Staging News (PLSN), FRONT of HOUSE (FOH) and Stage Directions, have formed a strategic alliance to promote NAMM’s new initiative to better serve the live event production community at its annual trade show in Anaheim. In addition to heavily promoting the event, TCC will be bringing its premier award show for the industry, the Parnelli Awards, to the NAMM show.
