DUNHUANG, China — The immersive Chinese theater piece, ‘Encore Dunhuang,’ recently debuted at the first Silk Road Dunhuang International Cultural Expo. The long-awaited show was directed by one of China’s most famous directors, Wang Chaoge, who was the co-director of the opening ceremony at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. OLD HICKORY, TN — Kendall E. Carter, 53, died Nov. 23, 2016 at his home in Old Hickory, TN, near Nashville. Born in Baker, LA, near Baton Rouge, he hit the road at age 19, heading out to Los Angeles and joining Showlites. He toured with top rock and country acts and helped Rhino launch its Louisiana office before joining VER as a project manager in 2012.

The show which opened to critical acclaim last year on Broadway opened on the 25th November 2016 at The Harold Pinter Theatre, London. Lighting design was provided by USA based Japhy Weideman. Programming was by Andi Davis.

CROATIA – Avolites control consoles and Ai media servers powered beat-perfect visuals across Outlook and Dimensions, two of Croatia’s leading dance music festivals, seamlessly merging lighting and video to immerse and enthrall the crowds of revelers. The sister festivals are held every year in Croatia’s medieval town of Pula in the ruins of the town’s 150-year-old Fort, ‘Punto Christo’. Providing the lighting and video aspects for both Outlook and Dimensions was Fineline Lighting, which has been involved in the festivals since 2012.
