NASHVILLE  – The 2016 CMA Awards Ceremony, broadcast live on Nov. 2 to millions of viewers on CBS, marked a 50-year milestone and bestowed honors on a number of longtime Bandit Lites clients. Honorees included Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town and Thomas Rhett, among others. Garth Brooks’ triumphant 2016 was capped off with the highest honors of the night as he was crowned Entertainer of the Year.

SPOKANE, WA –Even a charity dedicated to the most serious of causes can inject some humor into its events. Anyone who doubts this should have visited “Beyond Pink Designer Bra Fashion Show” at the Spokane Convention Center ballroom in mid-October.  This fundraiser was held by Beyond Pink, a nonprofit dedicated to early breast cancer detection . As part of its Old Hollywood theme, the event featured 12 different humorous fashion show vignettes, such as “Bra Wars,” which showcased Star Wars-inspired characters dressed in custom-designed bra costumes.

NASHVILLE –  Kaleo, formed just four years ago, is already playing in front of sold out crowds across the country. The Icelandic band is currently on the road for its first-ever US tour with lighting provided by 4Wall Nashville. Lighting Designer Taylor Price was tasked with creating a look for the show that was inspired by some sketches from the production team and a video, lead singer Julius Son, had sent him. “I blended the two into a design that is low power, compact for travel, and within budget,” explained Price.

BRONX, NY – For most of the 5,000 or so people who attended Robot-Heart, the event was a cool way to spend Halloween weekend. There was nonstop dancing, crazy costumes, artist like WhoMadeWho, a freaky robot, and a scintillating Dougie Lazer designed lightshow that featured an intense beam and strobe display using CHAUVET Professional fixtures. Those involved in putting on the two day celebration, however, also saw something beyond the free flowing party. For them, the event was another step on the way back for the hard pressed Hunts Point section of the South Bronx.
