LAS VEGAS – French LED digital lighting manufacturer, Ayrton, worked in close conjunction with exclusive US distributor, Morpheus Lights, to present its dynamic new line-up of LED lighting products to the US at this year’s LDI show in Las Vegas. Ayrton’s latest innovative creations were shown in a dramatic 300-fixture showpiece display on the shared Morpheus Lights/Ayrton booth.LDI took place from Oct 21-23 this year.
Zylight will showcase a variety of professional LED lighting instruments for broadcast, film, and stage production at the NAB Show New York, which runs Nov. 9-10 at the Javits Convention Center. Co-exhibiting with distribution partner Ushio in Booth 325, Zylight will demonstrate its own lights as well as options from Aladdin and LDDE, which the company distributes exclusively throughout North and South America. For broadcast news, Zylight’s Newz on-camera light delivers a soft yet punchy white light with true color reproduction and variable color temperatures. Ideal for studio or location applications, the F8-200 LED Fresnel is brighter than a 400-watt HMI Fresnel and can be powered by AC or dual battery configuration. NYC – Christien Methot served as lighting designer for the World Humanitarian Day Concert at the United Nations in August and used a number of Elation Professional and ADJ dynamic lighting fixtures to light the event. The concert, held August 19 at General Assembly Hall at the United Nations in New York City, starred American actor and singer Leslie Odom Jr., winner of the 2016 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Aaron Burr in the hit musical Hamilton.
GOTEBERG, SWEDEN – Robe PARfect S1 LED fixtures, delivering a crisp, well defined 6000K of white light – are providing a great solution at Landvetter International Airport in Goteborg, Sweden, where they are illuminating two separate Volvo car display areas – one in the Departures Hall and the other one airside in Arrivals by the baggage carousels. The fixtures were specified and installed by Mediatec, a Swedish company and specialist in exhibition and conference technical production, headquartered in Kungălv.
NEW ORLEANS – Although the Crescent City may be more known for Mardi Gras, it also does one heck of a job on Halloween. This much was readily apparent to the 100,000-plus fans who turned out to New Orleans City Park October 27-29 to enjoy the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience, or Voodoo Fest as it is more commonly known. A must-stop venue for many of those visitors was the LePlur Stage, epicenter of the festival’s EDM centric acts, a stellar group that included The Chainsmokers, Party Favor, Die Antword, DJ Mustard, Black Tiger Sex Machine and Cakes Da Killa, to name a few.
