INDIO, CA –– Desert Trip, a two-weekend, six-day extravaganza that ran from Oct. 7-9 and 14-16, featured top rockers including the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters, and the Who. The event was produced by Goldenvoice, the company that runs Coachella and is owned by AEG, and took place on the same festival grounds, making the festival’s nickname, “Oldchella,” all but inevitable, given the average age of the rock legends performing there, most of whom started their careers in music more than 50 years ago. Syncrolite noted how its fixtures were used for Roger Waters’ visual design.
