ROME – The Colosseum in Rome – world famous heritage site and one of Italy’s most popular tourist attractions – was originally constructed in 70 – 80 AD and is the largest amphitheater ever built. This summer it was reopened after three years of extensive refurbishments – the first in its history. The momentous occasion involved a high profile gala event. A special classical program was played by the Accademia Teatro alla Scala conducted by Zubin Mehta, and the Colosseum was lit by lighting designer Giancarlo Toscani who utilized twenty Robe BMFL WashBeams for this unique occasion.

NASHVILLE – Reggae rock band Rebelution has been touring in support of their fifth studio album, Falling Into Place, with fixtures from Pulse Lighting and Bandit Lites. Lighting designer Kenny Gribbon outfitted truss with VL 3500 Spots and four ladders descending on to the stage with Bandit supplied Robe Pointes placed on alternating rungs. A circle truss at the center of the stage provides a focal point, while Bandit’s GRNLite LED Pars are placed upstage for floor lighting.

Second Presidential Debate Site Animated with Chauvet Fixtures from Logic Systems

ST. LOUIS, MO – US presidential debates are serious business, but that doesn’t mean they can’t also be surrounded by some festive touches. Such was the case at Washington University in St. Louis, host of the second debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.  The school, which has hosted five debates in the past, was buzzing with excitement in the days leading up to the 2016 contest, with a parade through campus by the famous Budweiser Clydesdales, pre-debate buffets featuring the candidates’ favorite foods, and a colorful red, white and blue lighting display anchored by a collection of fixtures from Chauvet Professional.
