HERMOSA BEACH, CA – Saint Rocke and the City of Hermosa Beach augmented the Hermosa Beach Summer Concert Series this summer, adding a free movie night every Saturday in August to the concerts that take place on Sundays. Stage Drapery manufacturer, Sew What? Inc. and its sister company, Rent What? Inc. also expanded their involvement in the event, crafting the new projection screen along with the regular staging elements for the free events.

Supporting creative thinking and problem solving through its many programs, the Haynes Library values its responsibility to the wider community and holds a special place in the life of the island. Just as the library works to continually raise the bar of education and technology access, after three years of simple lighting, this year’s festival looked to increase the lighting production values for its Saturday night jazz sessions at the Leon Levy Native Plant Preserve, which is located in the settlement of Governor’s Harbour. Ferri Lighting Design and Associates (FLDA) brought in lighting equipment from off-island to realize LD Bruce Ferri’s design in the Preserve’s outdoor pavilion.

Robe BMFLs Rock Roskilde Arena

ROSKILDE, Denmark – Production lighting designer Sune Verdier arranged for 40 Robe BMFL Spots to be at the heart of the rig lighting the 17,000 capacity Arena Stage at the 2016 Roskilde Festival, giving visiting LDs the tools they’d need to craft a variety of impressive looks. It was his fifth year coordinated the show visuals. Copenhagen-based rental company Comtech supplied the BMFLs, and other lighting fixtures, for the event, including 24 Robe Pointes.

Edinburgh Tattoo Organizers Purchase Projection Gear for 2016 Event

EDINBURGH, Scotland – For the last 11 years  spectacular large format projections that have graced Edinburgh Castle creating a dramatic and dynamic backdrop for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo season. They have just become  brighter with a new video projection system specified by digital artist Ross Ashton from The Projection Studio. The 12 Panasonic PT-DW17K2 projectors have been purchased by the Tattoo and are running for the first time during the 2016 program.
