Chauvet Professional’s Strike 1, which follows the company’s launch for its Strike 4 multi format warm white fixture, is a single pod light that can be used anywhere as a blinder, strobe, wash and flood fixture. It uses a 230W warm white LED source for an even brighter and more intense output than each of the four pods within the Strike 4 unit (each of which are 100W). The Strike 1 is also rated for indoor and outdoor use.

LAS VEGAS – Electric Daisy Carnival is one of the biggest electronic dance music festivals in the world.  The June 2016 Las Vegas event generated more than 400,000 “turnstyle clicks” with attendance ranging from 130,000 to 135,000 for each of three nights starting on the evenings of June 17-19, 2016. The crowds were drawn with top EDM DJs, carnival rides, art and circus-style performances. Felix Lighting helped EDC celebrate its 20th anniversary (and sixth Las Vegas event) with a large complement of MDG fog generators, Clay Paky lighting fixtures and grandMA2 lighting consoles at its flagship Las Vegas Motor Speedway venue.  A.C.T Lighting, Inc. is the exclusive distributor of the three brands in North America.

Blackmagic Design Duplicator 1.0.2 Update

Blackmagic Design says its Blackmagic Duplicator 1.0.2 update will dramatically increase the performance of H.265 files on the latest playback devices. Since the Blackmagic Duplicator 4K was launched in April, new H.265 playback devices have been released and customers have also been providing feedback on the playback performance of the H.265 files. This feedback has been used to improve the codec in the Blackmagic Duplicator 4K, and this software update provides these improvements to all Blackmagic Duplicator 4K customers.

GRONAU, Germany  – Veteran rocker Udo Lindenberg didn’t panic as his 70th birthday approached on May 17. Instead, he prepared for his Keine Panik (No Panic) tour, which also features dancers, jugglers, acrobats, a UFO, a giant pink piano, a Russian empress, a houseboy, a children’s choir, biopic clips, various movies and so on … not to mention a jam-packed set list with over 30 songs. LD Günter Jäckle lit the 16 concerts in venues ranging from stadiums to mega-halls, using a rig that included GLP Impression X4 Bar fixtures.

Clearwing Lights Summerfest Stages in Milwaukee with 76 Martin MAC Axiom Hybrid Fixtures

MILWAUKEE— Clearwing Productions augmented its rental lighting inventory with 76 new Martin MAC Axiom Hybrids and deployed them, along with other fixtures, in the rigs for many of the stages of the biggest annual music festival in the world, Summerfest. They were used on six of the festival’s 11 permanent stages, playing a prominent role in the lighting for the BMO Harris Pavilion, the Miller Lite Oasis and the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard stage, among others.

NANCHANG, China – The Wanda Cultural Tourism City complex in Nanchang, China packs a theme park, movie park, aquarium, hotels and retail stores within an area measuring two square kilometers. It is expected to attract 10 million visitors a year to the southeastern Chinese city. The Flying Theater and Interactive Theater in the Wanda Movie Park and the Domed Theater in the Wanda Aquarium feature Alcorn McBride A/V, lighting and show control equipment.

HSL Supplies Chris Brown’s ‘One Hell of a Nite’ in Europe

DUBLIN – HSL supplied lighting, rigging and a Kinesys automation system for the European leg of Chris Brown’s “One Hell of a Nite” tour, working for production designer and manager Tom E. Marzullo from Out Of Our Minds Creative Services, LLC. HSL project managers John Slevin and Jordan Hanson coordinated everything for the Blackburn, U.K.-based rental company and ensured that the production design, created collectively by Tom E with input from Christie Lites’ Robert Roth and Robert Achlimbari from All Access, was supplied with all the lighting, rigging and automation elements it needed. The Europen shows took place in May and June, 2016.
