SAN FRANCISCO – The Electronic Entertainment Expo, commonly referred to as E3, took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 14-16. It was the 22nd year this convention has catered to the video game industry. Approximately 50,300 people attended the event and got to be hands on with much of the new gear. SANTIAGO, Chile – On May 22, 2,357 soccer players (most of them amateurs) played a match that lasted 120 hours, a feat topping the official Guinness record of 105 continuous hours that had been set last year in Scotland. (The new record, at presstime, had not yet been confirmed by Guinness officials). The teams were reportedly divided into “blue” and “white” teams, with white beating blue by a score of 505 to 504.
