Verva Street Racing Event Turns On the High Beams with Clay Paky SuperSharpys

WARSAW, Poland – For the Verva Street Racing event held at National Stadium in Warsaw Sept. 20, LD Jacek Chojczak specified 32 Clay Paky SuperSharpys from lighting rental company Transcolor and rigged them on the crown of the stadium, making them a “huge part of the show.” The gear was sourced via Prolight Sp. z o.o., the distributor for Clay Paky products in Poland.

Electrosonic Provides AV Support for “Beyond Rubik’s Cube” Exhibition

JERSEY CITY, NJ – An exhibition, Beyond Rubik’s Cube, opened at Liberty Science Center with audio-visual design, integration and installation by Electrosonic. Electrosonic was hired by exhibit fabricator Maltbie, a kubik Company, to take on the project designed by the Science Center’s Experience Services. The 7,000 square-foot exhibit, with 24 areas featuring AV support by Electrosonic, is intended to travel; after 11 months at Liberty Science Center, it will start a seven-year international road trip.

Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church Converts from Projection Setup to Elation LED Video

GIG HARBOR, WA – Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church recently converted the visual platform in their main worship space from a traditional projector and screen system to Elation EZ Series LED video screens. Church leaders initially looked at two 15,000 lumen projectors as replacements for a pair of aging 10K lumen projectors but opted for the Elation video screens instead. Agility AVL installed the gear.

Böhse Onkelz (Bad Uncles) Summer Reunion Show Lit with Clay Paky Gear

MANNHEIM, Germany — 1980s German rock/punk band Böhse Onkelz (Bad Uncles) reunited at Germany’s Hockenheimring race track earlier this year for their first show in nine years. LD Jerry Appelt included 80 Clay Paky Sharpys and 36 A.leda B-EYE K20s in the rig. PRG provided the gear to light the band on the main stage as well as a B-stage that brought the performers closer to more of their fans.

Lily Allen’s Backdrop of Baby Bottles Light Up with Avolites Ai Control Solution

LONDON – British singer Lily Allen has been touring both the festival and venue circuit in front of a backdrop of baby bottles laced with LED strips and controlled by Avolites Ai. Allen first unveiled her baby bottles set – a concept conceived by acclaimed stage designer Es Devlin – at Glastonbury 2014 and went on to perform with the bottles throughout the U.S., U.K. and Europe in the autumn as part of her Sheezus tour. In January and February 2015, the tour continues to Asia.
