“Nothin’ Like a Dame” at NJPAC Lights the Leading Ladies of Broadway with VL4000 Spots

NEWARK, NJ – Al Crawford of Arc3design used Philips Vari-Lite VL4000 Spot luminaires supplied by 4Wall to illuminate Tony Award winning actresses for Nothin’ Like a Dame, a production sponsored by The Women’s Association of NJPAC and staged for the New Jersey Performing Arts Center’s (NJPAC) 2014 Spotlight Gala. The Women’s Association fo NJPAC has so far raised more than $40 million to support the NJPAC.

MIAMI — For a party hosted by VH1 and SCOPE at Mansion Nightclub here in early December, LD Joe Paradise collaborated with the VH1 Production team to amp up the visual energy with 38 Nexus 4×4 Panels from Chauvet Professional. Along with a heavy dose of visual punch — despite the fact that they were run at 10 to 30 percent during most of the party — the panels were also used to create “plus” signs to tie in with the party’s “VH1 + Scope” logo.

DALLAS – Philips Strand Lighting is offering a new series of online training webinars for the NEO Lighting Control Console. Taking place in January and February 2015, the live webinars will be led by product specialist Bobby Harrell and will cover beginner, intermediate and advanced programming concepts of the NEO console. Registration for the training webinars is now open and dates have been set for half-day beginner (Jan. 6 and Feb. 2) and half-day intermediate ((Jan. 12 and Feb. 23) training sessions.

SAN FRANCISCO — The Masonic has been a landmark in San Francisco since opening in 1958 and is now operated by concert promotion company, Live Nation. The venue’s recent renovation included a new concert stage, luxury VIP boxes and flexible, tiered open floor space for both general admission and seated shows.
