Angelus’ New York Concert to Benefit Behind the Scenes

NEW YORK – Indiana vocal group Angelus has announced it will donate all proceeds from its July 16, 2010 New York concert of sacred music to The ESTA Foundation's Behind the Scenes charity. Part of their summer tour to New York, the concert will take place at 1 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin at 145 West 46th Street.

ETCP InfoComm Exam Deadline Extended to May 21

LAS VEGAS – Due to special arrangements with the testing company, the deadline for submitting applications to sit for the paper and pencil examinations to be given at InfoComm in Las Vegas has been extended. All applications must now be submitted to the ETCP office no later than May 21, 2010.

Flooding Hits Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, Other Iconic Venues

NASHVILLE – After two days of relentless storms doused Music City with 13-plus inches of rain, the city's entertainment infrastructure is still drying out from the ensuing flood. Many of Nashville's iconic venues closed due to water levels on the Cumberland River that exceeded 50 feet – more than 12 feet above flood stage. They include the Country Music Hall of Fame (it re-opened May 7), the Schermerhorn Symphony Center and the Grand Ole Opryhouse, which are still using alternate venues for their staged productions.
