For this year’s Neon Countdown festival held at Wonder World Extreme Park in Bangkok, Thailand, organizers turned to Morrison, CO-based Collyns Stenzel and Las Vegas-based Ed Shaw for a remote lighting and production design. For all his festival designs, remote or not, Stenzel is a believer in streamlining the challenges facing guest LDs and programmers with a limited number of fixture types.

The crowd gathered to Celebrate the Life of Richard “Nook” Schoenfeld with LD & MC John Featherstone leading the remembrances. Musicians Tom Liebermann on guitar, and Tim O’Keefe on percussion and harmonica added some live music to the evening.

Datum Creative Selects IP Rated Elation Lighting to Carry ‘No Video’ Production for ‘We Belong Here’ Festival

One of the festival season’s more unique early gatherings took place February 25-26 when Miami’s Virginia Key Beach transformed into a pop-up beach club for We Belong Here. Datum Creative was responsible for the site, production, and lighting design and turned to Elation Professional’s industry-leading range of IP rated luminaires to carry the production visually and fulfill the festival organizer’s unique ‘no video’ brief.
