Slick Urban Look for 2017 Schlagerfestival

HASSELT, Belgium – The 2017 Schlagerfestival, produced by PSE Belgium and Medialaanwhich, included five sold-out shows at 21,000-capacity Ethias Arena in Hasselt, Belgium from March 24-April 1. Painting with Light’s served as production designer, Paco Mispelters was lighting director and Michael Al Far handled the playback video elements along with content designer Sina Sohn. All combined their ideas to present show director Luc Koenen with some big, bright and epic looking settings to deliver a three hour performance featuring 42 different schlager artists.

Harman Names Fairlight as Distributor for Martin Products in Belgium and Luxembourg

BEMMEL, The Netherlands – Harman Professional Solutions announced that its Dutch distributor, Fairlight, would also serve as distributor of Martin products in Belgium and Luxembourg. Metallica’s 2017 “WorldWired” Tour Includes Martin Fixtures

DENVER – Metallica recently embarked on the “WorldWired” world tour to support 2016’s Hard Wired…to Self-Destruct, their first studio record in eight years. The stadium tour features a unique stage design that forgoes a traditional ceiling structure in favor of a colossal, open look with huge video screens and heavy pyrotechnics. In order to overcome major rigging limitations and compete with the over-the-top stage production, Metallica’s longtime Lighting Director Rob Koenig selected Martin Axiom Hybrid fixtures and Atomic 3000 LED strobes for their power, versatility and compact footprint.

Entertainment Fabrication has released their line of truss dollies to the marketplace. Entertainment Fabrication’s dollies for standard 12″ and 20.5″ truss are one of the most rugged, versatile, and user-friendly methods for transporting truss. All dollies are manufactured from 1.5″ of Baltic Birch plywood, and are fully glued, screwed, and bolted together. The entire assembly has been sprayed with several layers of textured road case paint that is very durable, but also easily repairable should the finish start showing signs of wear. Handles and other features are routed out of the frame so that there is less hardware to break or come loose.

Theis started his lighting design career 12 years ago and is well known in Denmark for his imagination and thinking ‘out-of-the-box’. He was asked by the artist to produce a design for the tour which promotes his latest album Pas på pigerne (Beware of Girls) which features a big band sound and style bringing a new dimension to his diverse repertoire.

Sigma Performs at the Royal Albert Hall with HSL Assist

LONDON – U.K.-based duo Sigma recently became the first drum and bass act – complete with full band – to play London’s Royal Albert Hall. Creating visuals for this ground-breaking gig in the distinguished venue was show designer Andy Hurst. He used a combination of lighting equipment supplied by Blackburn rental company HSL and the in-house rig, and worked alongside a crew of three from HSL.

Hexogon Solution’s Christie Projectors Light Up ‘Supertees’ at Singapore’s Gardens By The Bay
