Twenty One Pilots Take d3 Around The World for Emotional Roadshow Tour

PERTH, Australia – The American musical duo Twenty One Pilots (TOP) have been around the globe with the Emotional Roadshow World Tour, which commenced almost a year ago and wraps up this summer.  d3 accompanied the Grammy-winning TOP on their arena tour, which visited Europe, North America and Oceania, feeding video content to an extensive array of LED walls.

BELGIUM – Belgian visual design practice Painting with Light’s Paco Mispelters has added imagination and style to the current Studio 100 tour of new youth musical “Unidamu”. The tour visits four Belgian theatres and is a co-production with TV channel Ketnet. The Unidamu (Universe of Dance & Music) journey started with “Ketnet Musical”, a talent scouting competition TV show with a mission to source new singing, dancing and acting talent, resulting in 24 fresh and enthusiastic faces picked from 12,000 hopefuls to make up the cast.

UK – Robe’s new Spiider LED wash beam is a versatile fixture that is making an impact in many environments … and even a few Spiiders will go a long way as lighting designer Gareth Weaver recently demonstrated when lighting a UK tour of intense dance piece “The Suffocating Truth”, created by Lukas McFarlane of The Untitled Dance Company. The show visited five cities and played totally different spaces in each.

LIMA, Peru – From late March through late April, Justin Bieber’s Purpose world tour was traveling through South America. On April 5, the 23-year-old visited Lima, Peru. DBLUX-SAC provided audio, lighting, video and power for the concert, including 60 Maverick MK1 Hybrid moving heads from Chauvet Professional. Cory FitzGerald designed the lighting looks for the tour.

MANCHESTER – Yes featuring Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman, a newly formed group of the progressive rock band’s core members, played a well-received show at Manchester Apollo, captured by Eagle Rock Entertainment for DVD. As the filming required precise lighting levels, Jonathan Pask of Illuminate Lighting Ltd designed a reliable multi-user control system of networked Avolites consoles to ensure each look was on point for camera.

ESTONIA – Robe DL7S Profile LED moving lights and PARFect 100 LED PARs have been specified and installed at the prestigious Estonian National Concert Hall (Eesti Kontsert), located in the heart of picturesque capital city Tallinn and home to the Estonian National Orchestra (ENO). The impressive Neoclassical building designed by architects A. Lindgren and W. Lönn in 1913 and reconstructed in 1947 is shared with the Estonian National Opera and the Ballet Theatre Estonia and a proud symbol of Estonia’s political and cultural landscape.
