CARY, NC – SmallHD announces its first OLED monitor, the 702-OLED. The 7.7-inch screen combines the renowned color accuracy and contrast ratio of an OLED display, with the feature set of the industry standard SmallHD 702-Bright so that it is ideal on camera or on a director’s rig. Able to produce wide color gamut color accuracy, it is an effective tool for DIT’s and directors on-set use. The new monitor displays a 24 Bit (8bpc) color depth with a 160+ degree, viewing angle. The 1280×800 screen has a 191 pixel per inch density.

In Memoriam: Tommy Stephenson, 53

FAIRPORT HARBOR, OH — Tommy Stephenson, longtime sales manager for Burbank, CA-based TMB, died Feb. 21, 2017. He was 53. Stephenson was the first employee to be hired by TMB founders and partners Marshall Bissett and Colin Waters after they formed the company to distribute entertainment production supplies in the mid-1980s.
