LAS VEGAS — The votes are in! No, not for Jill Stein, Gary Johnson and, um… Who were the other two people running for President? No, we’re talking about the Parnelli Awards, of course. Voting wrapped up Sept. 30 as readers of PLSN and FRONT of HOUSE magazines chose the people, companies and products that will share the limelight on Oct. 22 along with Richard Fernandez, Danny O’Bryen and Greg Mackie, this year’s Parnelli Lifetime Achievement, Visionary and Audio Innovator award winners, respectively.

O.A.R. Tours with Bandit Lites

NASHVILLE – O.A.R. recently wrapped their summer tour with a lighting package provided by Bandit Lites. The tour coincided with the band’s 20th anniversary, complete with a double compilation album entitled XX released August 5. Tour manager and lighting designer Chris Wrightsman evoked the double ‘X’ symbol within the look of the show, creating a truss design of two interlocked X’s.

In Memoriam: Nicholas ‘Space’ Luysterborghs, 71

VALLONIA, IN — Nicholas “Space” Luysterborghs, a freelance master carpenter and stage crew supervisor, died July 13, 2016 at his home in Vallonia, IN after a heart attack. A native of New Haven, CT who worked on a freelance basis and spent many years on the road, Luysterborghs took meticulous care of the stages and sets used by top artists including Prince, Madonna, John Mellencamp and Aerosmith, among many others. He was 71.
