TORRANCE, CA. — To a professional symphony orchestra, being able to clearly read their sheet music is the only way to put on a performance worthy of a standing ovation. Sheet music poorly lit by troublesome incandescent lighting simply won’t due; especially for the best of the best. The members of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra had to deal with inefficient incandescent lights in their musician stand lights. After they switched to LEDtronics Right-angle LED T10 Lamps, the Orchestra no longer has to worry about bad lighting holding back their performance.

JEFFERSONVILLE, IN — Every Friday throughout the summer, the city of Jeffersonville, IN hosts a free concert on a floating music venue, the RiverStage. This unique floating performance space is a barge moored on the banks of the Ohio river near the city’s downtown area. For the 2016 season, Sounds Unlimited Productions upgraded the visuals with 45 ADJ AV6 LED video panels and six ADJ Vizi Hybrid 16RX fixtures. The video panels add to the live music performances, and they are also used for advertising messages for sponsors between performances.

U.K. Theatre Makes Use of ModTruss as Structural Scenery

SHEFFIELD, U.K. – For the Sheffield People’s Theatre production of A Dream, described as a “modern-day mash up of Shakespearan romance,” the production team made use of ModTruss as a structural piece of scenery.   The structure was a 37 by 19 foot platform on 8-foot uprights. It was made up of the three available sizes of aluminum ModTruss – 3″, 6″ and 12″. The production was presented in Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre.

Osram/Clay Paky Acquires France-Based ADB Lighting Technologies

MUNICH, Germany and SAINT-QUENTIN, France – Osram purchased ADB TTV SAS, also known as ADB Lighting Technologies, on Aug. 3, and will run the company going forward as part of its Clay Paky lighting subsidiary. ADB, founded in Belgium in 1920, ran as a family business until 1987 when it was acquired by the Siemens Group. Under Siemens, it expanded from a maker of digital dimmers, memory control systems and condenser optics for theatre spotlights and emerged as a broadline manufacturer with facilities in Belgium and France,and a sales unit in Germany. Christian Léonard, then General Manager of ADB-TTV France, led a management buyout in late 2002. The company is now based in Saint-Quentin, with R&D, Product Engineering, Marketing and International Sales still located in Belgium.
