LAS VEGAS – Following a wildly successful year including a packed festival season, massive world tours and premier installations, Bandit Lites once again took home Lighting Company of the Year at the 15th Annual Parnelli Awards. Dizzy Gosnell accepted the award, which was held at the Rio Resort and Casino October 24 during LDI, and was hosted by Kevin Lyman, Founder of the Vans Warped Tour.

LAS VEGAS – Robe Lighting credited its BMFL Wash and BMFL Wash XF luminaires for drawing crowds to its booth at LDI this year, the company’s biggest booth at that show to date. Industry bands The Brobes and Swingin Johnsons (pictured here) drew crowds to the booth as well.

PLASA Details “De-Merger” Plans

LONDON — After announcing plans to “de-merge,” U.K.-based PLASA EU has released more details about the future of their organization — including staffing changes intended to help deal with a “critical” cash flow problem. As part of the split it was also confirmed that Lighting & Sound America will remain a publication of the U.K. arm of PLASA, while Protocol will revert to PLASA North America (formerly ESTA).

High End calls UNO an LED beam light for the future.
