LAS VEGAS – Tour School, LLC is teaming up with the University of Nevada at Las Vegas’ (UNLV) Continuing Education program to offer STEADI (Stage Technician Education and Development Intensive), to be held in early August at a location to be determined in Las Vegas. The multi-day program is designed to prepare candidates to meet the needs of employers seeking skilled labor for entry-level stage tech positions in live event productions.

OneRepublic “Native” Tour Continues with Gear from Bandit Lites

VANCOUVER, BC — OneRepublic’s tour in support of their third studio album, Native, began more than two years ago in Italy. That European leg was followed by shows around the world, with Bandit supplying Clay Paky, Martin, MA Lighting and other gear for LD Chris Lisle’s diamond-shaped lighting pods framing video screens from MooTV. The band is now en route to the Middle East and Europe and has plans to perform in South Africa and Brazil later this year.

Moscow’s “Big Love” Valentine’s Day Dance Event Lit with Clay Paky Gear

MOSCOW, Russia – For a Valentine’s Day 3.5-hour dance event that drew more than 17,000 Muscovites to the SC Olympisky, LD Konstantin Gerasimov of 4DProject used an array of Clay Paky fixtures supplied by Arlecchino Techno to deliver an electric party atmosphere. The rig including 92 A.leda B-EYE K20s, 71 Alpha Spot 1500s, 72 Sharpys and 36 Sharpy Washes. Pavel Shchelkanov created video content for the event. All the lighting and video was completely time coded, with the sound and show program by Nikolay Zinovenko.

The Script’s Arena Tour Gets Visual Assist from Avolites Sapphire Touch, Ai S8 Servers

LONDON – Avolites aficionado Jamie Thompson has been out with Irish pop-rockers The Script on their European tour controlling ‘maximum impact’ lighting with his Avolites Sapphire Touch console, plus an Avolites Quartz and x4 Avolites Titan Net Processors. A second Sapphire Touch was used a backup. All front-end Avolites control equipment was supplied by global lighting and show design company MIRRAD.
