TNDV’s FOR-A HVS-390HS Supports ACM-Related Events

LAS VEGAS – Video production company Tennessee Digital Video will rely on its new FOR-A’s HVS-390HS video switcher for “Party for a Cause,” a two-day outdoor music fundraiser festival leading up to the Academy of Country Music Awards, broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena here April 6, 2014. The company plans to use the HVS-390HS to produce IMAG on three video boards. TNDV will also feed video to two different stages during the festival’s events.

The Wonder from D.T.S. is an LED wash light fixture with two concentric zones. The central zone has independent control of the zoom, color control, strobe and dimming. The two external rings are divided into three distinct sections having independent control of luminosity, color mixing and strobe. Robe Lighting is expanding its reach in the U.S. under new CEO Bob Schacherl. The company said Hall’s appointment is one of several new appointments that it expects to be announcing in the near future.

SOCHI, Russia – For the Winter Paralympic Games, LD Durham Marenghi used a lighting rig originally specified for the Winter Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremonies to create a dramatic new design. “Most of the equipment was supplied and installed by PRG and the system already, included a large array of Sharpys and Sharpy Washes. We added some Clay Paky Alpha Profile 1500 and A.leda B-Eye K10 for specific tasks in the Paralympics,” he said.
