LONDON – XL Video supplied full video production and crew for the recent UK arena leg of Biffy Clyro’s ‘Opposites’ world tour. The set design from show designer / director Misty Buckley featured an intricate tree-like structure which could morph into of a pair of lungs, complete with the arterial / branch complexity of both structures. SYRACUSE, NY – Three research projects were chosen to receive a total of $26,000 in funding from USITT’s 2013 Fellowship Program, the Institute’s Grants & Fellowship Committee announced. The committee voted to give $12,000 to Helene Siebrits’ Cambodia project, $8,000 to Howard Kurtz’s Federal Theatre Project research and $6,000 to Anita Tripathi Easterling’s study of Indian stage designer Khaled Choudhury.

STAMFORD, CT — Stan Miller, chairman of the board for Rosco, pictured right, wrote a memo for internal distribution to all of Rosco employees to explain a little more of the rationale behind Rosco’s acquisition of GAM Products. Rosco then made the memo available to PLSN, Stage Directions and others as a way of clarifying the reasons behind the purchase and how it fits within Rosco’s business objectives. INDIANAPOLIS – Reel Video Systems, Dodd Technologies and Tyler Truss Systems teamed up to elevate the experience at Lucas Oil Stadium in March as the 2013 NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Midwest Regional rolled into Indianapolis. To enhance the live atmosphere, the three companies developed, fabricated and installed a custom 32 ft x 32 ft structure that included four Reel Video panel-based LED video walls, stadium-sized audio reinforcement, and sanctioned signage.
