Martin MAC III AirFX Debuts on Electronic Dance Event

AMSTERDAM – Martin Professional’s new MAC III AirFX mid-air effects and wash luminaire debuted on the premier of a new Sensation electronic dance music event at Amsterdam Arena this past summer. Sensation LD Sander den Otter of Wonderwolf Design used 22 of the 1500-watt fixtures in the Source of Light show design. The fixture is now shipping to rental houses across the globe.

Clay Paky Hosts South African Roadshow

DURBAN, South Africa –Clay Paky received a positive response to its South African Roadshow, with a number of lighting professionals attending product demonstrations in venues in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. NEW YORK – The 10th annual Long Reach Long Riders charity motorcycle ride announces June 28 as the start date for their 2013 US ride. Over the eight-day trip the riders will have an opportunity to visit, and stick their toes into, all five of the Great Lakes as well as ride some of the best bike roads in the area. The recent 2012 ride of entertainment industry professionals raised more than $51,000 and they hope to surpass that in 2013.

LOS ANGELES – In his fifth year of lighting the MTV Video Music Awards, LD Tom Kenny chose the GLP impression X4 to illuminate Florian Wieder’s futuristic set at Staples Center. VER’s Susan Tesh introduced Kenny to the fixtures and supplied them for this show, which featured Green Day, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Pink, Alicia Keys, Lil Wayne, Frank Ocean and One Direction.
