LOS ANGELES – The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) at the Los Angeles Convention Center June 5-7 had an estimated 700 Martin MAC Aura LED wash lights highlighting many of the show’s 200 booths. The fixtures most prominently lit Nintendo’s booth, which alone featured 250 MAC Auras complemented with 70 MAC 101 wash lights.

NASHVILLE – The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “I’m With You World Tour” features Clay Paky Sharpys and Alpha Beam 1500 luminaires from Premier Global Productions. The rock band’s tour began last fall and extends into 2013.  LD Scott Holthaus of Happy Machine specified 96 Sharpys in a full octagon grid for the band’s indoor shows, 78 for the stadium shows plus a complement of Alpha Beam 1500s for the outdoor performances.

Helene Fischer Tour Gets Staging, Automation Support from Tait

HOF, Germany — Working with Soundhouse, Tait Technologies is providing staging and automation support for Helene Fisher’s current tour, which began here Sept. 18. Tait provided the main stage, a hydraulic 12.4-meter lifting arm and three lifts controlled by Tait’s Navigator automation system. Tait project manager Matthew Hales noted that the tour serves as an example of how the company can reconfigure existing staging and automation elements to create a fresh new look without breaking a tour’s budget.
