Alfred University’s New Miller Theatre Using Robert Juliat Topaze Followspots

 

ALFRED, NY – Alfred University’s new Miller Theatre has been equipped with a pair of Robert Juliat Topaze followspots. Barbizon Lighting NY was the integrator and supplier for the lighting, working with Beck Studios, the rigging company. The Miller Theatre is the latest addition to the Miller Performing Arts Center, which features the C.D. Smith III Flexible Theatre, a black-box space; The Rod Brown Acting Studio; dance and instrumental music rehearsal halls; a scene shop; and faculty offices.

Impact Video Provides Displays For Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards

White Light Supplies Shrek The Musical

NEW YORK, NY – White Light has been chosen to supply the lighting to Shrek, the musical adaptation of the Dreamworks Animation film that has already been greeted with acclaim in New York and on its current US tour. The stage version of Shrek has been created by a hugely experienced theatrical team, including directors Jason Moore and Rob Ashford, choreographer Josh Prince, designer Tim Hatley and lighting designer Hugh Vanstone. SERIATE, ITALY – The 360-degree staging of Pietro e Lucia, based on the 1920s anti-war novel by French novelist Romain Rolland included Clay Paky's Alpha Beam 1500. American Theatre Wing Announces Tony Nominees for 2011

NEW YORK – The American Theatre Wing announced the nominees for the 2011 Tony Awards, to be televised live on CBS June 12. The nominees for Best Lighting Design of a Play include Paule Constable for War Horse; David Lander for Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo; Kenneth Posner for The Merchant of Venice; and Mimi Jordan Sherin for Jerusalem. For Best Lighting Design of a Musical, nominees include Ken Billington for The Scottsboro Boys; Howell Binkley for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying; Peter Kaczorowski for Anything Goes; and Brian MacDevitt for The Book of Mormon.
