Roland Pro A/V is introducing a new application for its XS-Series Matrix Switchers for use as high-quality, pixel-accurate cropping switcher/scalers for LED video walls. The XS-Series can switch eight HDMI or analog video inputs to up to four LED video walls, each with their own independent aspect ratio and scaling settings.

Chauvet Professional’s Maverick series, including the MK2 Wash, MK1 Hybrid and MK2 Spot, Includes a W-DMX receiver card in every fixture as a standard feature.

Blackmagic Design says its Blackmagic Duplicator 1.0.2 update will dramatically increase the performance of H.265 files on the latest playback devices. Since the Blackmagic Duplicator 4K was launched in April, new H.265 playback devices have been released and customers have also been providing feedback on the playback performance of the H.265 files. This feedback has been used to improve the codec in the Blackmagic Duplicator 4K, and this software update provides these improvements to all Blackmagic Duplicator 4K customers.

ADJ’s Chameleon QBar Pro is designed to produce wall-washing effects and also be used to generate mid-air beams. Offering WiFLY DMX control, 64 color macros, 19 built-in programs and 6 operating modes, it promises a new level of creativity in venue up-lighting.

Le Maitre’s G300-SMART smoke machine features “Internet of Things” technology and supports both Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity for setup, monitoring and diagnostics. Building on the foundation of Le Maitre’s flagship smoke machine, the G300, the G300-SMART retains features including the G300’s versatility, durability and ample output of dense white smoke. Smoke output is 51,000 cubic meters per hour. The G300-SMART also comes with an easy-to-read backlit LCD display for improved user interaction. It has DMX in and out, 0-10V control, and fluid out and fluid low reporting. With Wi-Fi on board, users get a new level of flexibility. They can set and change the configuration of the machine via their mobile device, such as a phone or tablet. Users can set interval, duration and pre-delay times, and also control the flow level, turn the unit on or off and diagnose/debug any errors wirelessly. Once connected via Wi-Fi, the G300-SMART also can be monitored and controlled over the Internet through Le Maitre’s evolving Machine Interface Portal.

DTS, which showcased the Katana LED bar-style fixture earlier this year at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt, Germany, announced that a video tutorial introducting the new fixture’s features is now available for viewing online. The video tutorial outlines the key benefits of the Katana fixture in an engaging way.

Eiki International introduces the EK-610U, EK-611W and EK-612X Conference Series Projectors. The flagship EK-610U, pictured here, features single-chip DLP technologyn, 6,500 ANSI Lumens and WUXGA resolution. The EK-611W is a 6,500 ANSI Lumens system with WXGA resolution. The EK-612X offers 7,000 ANSI Lumens with XGA resolution.

The new TCX9 from Tekvox combines touchscreen and control processing. It’s a 9-inch touchscreen with full HD (1920×1200) resolution and a control processor. The TCX9 promises easy control of TekMonitors, third-party control systems and a wide variety of other AV devices. Its hybrid design and non-proprietary control language also promise a substantial cost savings over control systems requiring separate touchscreens and controllers.
