DTS, which showcased the Katana LED bar-style fixture earlier this year at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt, Germany, announced that a video tutorial introducting the new fixture’s features is now available for viewing online. The video tutorial outlines the key benefits of the Katana fixture in an engaging way.

Eiki International introduces the EK-610U, EK-611W and EK-612X Conference Series Projectors. The flagship EK-610U, pictured here, features single-chip DLP technologyn, 6,500 ANSI Lumens and WUXGA resolution. The EK-611W is a 6,500 ANSI Lumens system with WXGA resolution. The EK-612X offers 7,000 ANSI Lumens with XGA resolution.

The first products in Elation Professional’s new DTW Series™ of variable white LED lights are now available. Well suited to applications requiring variable white light, such as broadcast, theatrical and conventional lighting situations, DTW Series fixtures are color temperature adjustable and can emulate the “Dim to Warm” look of conventional tungsten / halogen fixtures. The new TCX9 from Tekvox combines touchscreen and control processing. It’s a 9-inch touchscreen with full HD (1920×1200) resolution and a control processor. The TCX9 promises easy control of TekMonitors, third-party control systems and a wide variety of other AV devices. Its hybrid design and non-proprietary control language also promise a substantial cost savings over control systems requiring separate touchscreens and controllers. 

Blizzard Lighting’s Motif Fresco is an outdoor LED wash light that comes with 14 3-watt tri-color LEDs. Similar to the company’s Motif Sketch fixture, but bigger and brighter, the Motif Fresco has an IP65 rating for outdoor use. Other features include -channel DMX with built-in color presets, auto programs, user adjustable speed and fade times, variable electronic strobe effects, and 0-100 percent electronic dimming. The MSRP is $399.99.

AV Stumpfl says its forthcoming Wings Vioso RX software will feature a video decoding algorithm which uses specialized GPU instructions instead of regular CPU processes. AV Stumpfl has been developing a new solution for video playback in the entire lineup of video servers and players.

The new 4.8 mm pixel pitch VIP F4 Video Panel from Chauvet Professional has cable-free magnetic LED modules and a removable control/PSU box so that the video panels are fully serviceable from the front or rear.  The panels can be removed easily from the front using an MT-03 tool, making it practical to install the F4 flat on a wall in permanent installations. At the same time, the ruggedly designed panels also come with road cases for touring applications.

Elation Professional’s SixBar 1000 LED batten is now available in a fully weatherproof IP65 version that gives the versatile color-changing luminaire application in all types of outdoor events and weather including dust-blown environments. The SixBar 1000 IP features a revolutionary 6-color LED multi-chip that provides a creative color boost to the lighting designer toolbox.

ETC’s new Eos Motorized Fader Wings are designed to function as modular add-ons to Eos consoles or systems, letting users build a control desk suitable for any live show. ETC says its Eos Motorized Fader Wings will be released later this summer, in conjunction with the company’s Eos v2.4 software update, which is geared toward the needs of programmers working in broadcast, music and live-event markets and other complex gigs.
