Hitachi Kokusai added High Dynamic Range (HDR) capability across its line of Ultra High Definition (UHD) 4K and HDTV broadcast cameras. These HDR-upgraded cameras will be unveiled at the upcoming Telemundo Cine Video Television Expo—an annual international video equipment trade show—taking place June 28-July 1 at the Mexico City World Trade Center.

ADJ’s new ellipsoidal fixtures, the Encore Profile 1000 WW and Encore Profile 1000 Color, feature powerful COB LEDs, built-in manual zoom and focus, framing shutters and GOBO slots. These flexible lighting units are well suited for use for the stages of theatres, churches, concert venues, conferences and special events.

Chauvet Professional’s Rogue R1 FX-B, the company’s latest addition to its line of Rogue fixtures, features five individually controlled pixel mappable 15-watt RGBW LEDs. The company also promises strikingly fast movements and infinitely variable pan and tilt options for a wide variety of high impact looks.

Blizzard Lighting’s Oberon Profile LED spotlights include the new Oberon Profile NZ and Oberon Profile WZ. These ellipsoidal imaging spotlights promise high intensity sharp or soft edged beams, well suited for use within theatres, studio applications, nightclubs or anywhere that precisely controlled accent spotlighting is needed.

ETC updated its Unison Mosaic Show Controller X (MSCX) with a smaller version housed in a one-unit, 19-inch rack-mount enclosure. The updated Show Controller X is offered with capacities from 5,120 channels (10 universes) up to 50,000 channels of DMX-over-Ethernet. It is compatible with all existing and new Mosaic control systems that utilize Mosaic Designer 2 software.

Whirlwind is venturing into the case-building business. The Rochester, NY-based company is starting with cases for its own products and plans to expand into a broader array of case designs. Marketed under the Cyclone brand, the cases feature Colson casters, flush mounted MOL latches and Marine grade HDPE panels.

Ayrton’s MagicBurst is a new high-power graphic LED strobe featuring continuous, unlimited rotation on its pan and tilt axis. The fixture, which is the company’s first strobe unit, first burst onto the world stage at Prolight + Sound 2016 in Frankfurt, Germany earlier this year. MagicBurst’s 384 x 384 mm squared face supports 3,840 high-output white LEDs grouped into 64 pixels on an 8 x 8 matrix. With a new ultra-compact 1,300W power supply, MagicBurst promises peak light output of more than 240,000 lumens (calibrated at 5600K) for several seconds, and the fixture can put that into continuous rotation.

Blizzard Lighting’s Oberon fixtures, including the Oberon Fresnel and Oberon Fresnel Zoom (pictured here), offer a 3200K-3500K tungsten color while attaining a high CRI of 95 that can be directly compared to natural sunlight. The LED fixture adds to the complete line of conventional light fixtures the company has to offer the lighting marketplace.

Hubbell Control Solutions has updated its wiSCAPE Gateway, which is designed to make it easy to manage, monitor and measure wireless outdoor lighting networks. The wiSCAPE Gateway manages up to 1,000 wiSCAPE fixture modules, controlling dimming, scheduling and motion detection features.  For enhanced network management and security, the device operates on Windows 7 Professional Edition. IT Administrators can easily manage it as they do all the PCs on their network. The wiSCAPE Gateway is now available with BACnet IP built-in support.

The Laserworld Group started distributing Lasergraph DSP in April 2016, making the high-end DSP show control systems more affordable through a new licensing model. Due to “Master-Slave” licensing it is possible to combine several low priced slave-units with one master unit only. Along with the pricing structure, the user interface has changed with the latest release of the LG-Remote remote control software for the DSP. Laserworld notes that the redesign and partial rearrangement of features dramatically improved the look and feel of the software itself.

Eurolite’s DMX Move Controller 512 Pro promises high quality technology (including motorized faders) at an affordable price. The DMX Move Controller 512 Pro also gives users control over 24 DMX lighting effect devices with up to 34 channels per device.
