ADJ’s Ikon Profile gobo projector is designed to suit the needs of those who need a bright, crisp and rich gobo projector without a lot of other fixture features. Equipped with a 32W white LED source, the Ikon Profile includes easy-to-adjust framing shutters, and a textured glass gobo and compact form factor. The fixture comes with five gobo patterns including one textured glass gobo and four metal gobos. Custom metal or glass gobos may be produced to create a unique look.

MDG’s new Me8, to be featured at at Prolight + Sound 2016 in Frankfurt, is billed as the company’s highest-powered fog generator to date. Now topping the Me Series, the Me8 is an 8-nozzled machine that pumps out a  800 cubic metes of fog per minute.

elektraLite’s new DataAir Wireless DMX Data Transmission System makes use of the ELE810 DataAir Transmitter and ELE811 DataAir Receiver to bring wireless functionality to DMX distribution in a manner that promises to be fast and easy for users. elektraLite’s DataAir transmitter and receiver are each no larger than a ballpoint pen and simply plug-and-play ready.

Desay’s E Series indoor HD full color LED video screen panels, made in China, feature die-cast aluminum housing for light weight and durability. The LED modules allow for front maintenance, with high resolution pixel pitches including 1.25mm, 1.5mm, 1.875mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 3.75mm and 4mm options. A smart fast lock design promises easy assembly, and the panels can be used in flown or stacked configurations on stage.

Flex Rental Solutions’ Flex version 4.15.1, released in mid-March, is the third major and fourth total software release by the company since the start of 2016. This newest release includes several new features, performance improvements, and bug fixes. Release 4.15.1 includes tax on costs, thresholds for inventory items, and multiple automation profile support for quotes. The company is actively developing and quality assurance testing Flex version 4.16.0, scheduled for release in April.

Rushworks’ PTX Universal PanTilt Head, to be featured at NAB 2016, adds to the number of integrated robotic lighting and video control options. PTX is designed to work with the Blackmagic Design Micro Studio Camera 4K and other standalone cameras and camcorders from Sony, Canon, Panasonic and JVC that support LANC control. In addition to pan and tilt, if the cameras support the commands, the fixture can provide control of zoom, focus, iris and record start/stop.

Blackmagic Design noted that, after a delay due to the longer-than-expected timeframe needed for the development of their global shutters, the company’s URSA Mini 4.6K and the Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera are now shipping, without the shutter feature.

Martin’s RUSH MH 6 Wash CT is designed to serve as a true white wash light for customers in the house of worship and performing arts markets. White light is often needed to illuminate performers in these sectors and the RUSH MH 6 Wash CT blends both warm and cold white LEDs for complete color temperature control in a cost-effective fixture.

Elation Professional’s TVL CYC RGBW is a theatre-style cyclorama wall wash luminaire that promises a smooth and even field of seamlessly blended colors onto cycloramas, backcloths, scenery or any surface. Well suited for use as a color-changing floodlight for TV, film, theatre and broadcast applications, the TVL CYC RGBW features a 150W RGBW LED engine for floods of uniform light in virtually any color while linear variable white color temperature presets (7200K – 3200K) make it a convenient white light luminaire.

Martin’s VDO Sceptron 20 and VDO Sceptron 40 are the newest additions to the Harman owned company’s series of linear, outdoor-rated LED video and lighting fixtures, joining the previously introduced VDO Sceptron 10, pixtured here. Well suited for the rental and installed markets, these fixtures are available with 20 mm and 40 mm pixel pitches, with an extensive range of optical accessories for a wide variety of video and lighting looks. The VDO Sceptron 20 and VDO Sceptron 40 are driven by the Martin P3 System controller for easy configuration, mapping and setup. No external components required. These fixtures are also backward compatible with DMX controllers for smaller setups.

A new addition to Blizzard Lighting’s pixel mapping LED effects fixtures, the Pixellicious Mini is a ½ meter fixture that features 80 (tri-color) SMD 5050 LEDs with a projected life span of more than 50,000 hours of use. Users can also control each of the 80 LED lights with Art-Net (3.0 compliant), ArKaos Kling-Net and DMX protocols.

John McKernon and City Theatrical have announced that Lightwright 6, the newest version of software for managing entertainment lighting paperwork, will be released in April 2016. Lightwright 6 will be launched at USITT 2016 on March 17-19th in Salt Lake City. John McKernon will be on hand all three days to demonstrate the new features and to speak with present and future Lightwright users.
