Blizzard Lighting expands its TOURnado family with the IP 65 rated TOURnado CSI COB. The fixture lets users add very bright Ultra Violet light with a wide 60° beam angle thanks to its installed 100W UV color COB LED. COB technology provides very intense light, which is produced via multiple small LED chips that are packaged together into one tiny, yet very powerful module.

Exalux adds to its line of professional LED lights for filmmaking or television studio set, the ROCK – a squared LED panel. Designed in collaboration with filmmakers, gaffers and directors of photography, the company calls the ROCK an “all-terrain lighting system.”

Flex Rental Solutions released Flex version 4.14.1 to customers on Feb. 17-18, 2016. The newest release includes several new features, performance improvements, and bug fixes. Release 4.14.1 includes a new notes tab with highlight functionality for contact records, a bulk edit feature when editing selected serialized items, and an increased character limit on the Raw Printer Template, and more.

Blizzard Lighting’s Stiletto Z6 mini moving head comes with six 4-in-1 (RGBW) 15W LEDs, features 8/16-bit, 360°/540° pan and 270° tilt, 0-100% dimming and a 6.5°-60° degree zoomable beam angle.

The 2016 version of connectCAD, the connectivity design add-on to Vectorworks, is now available. Used extensively by audiovisual designers worldwide, connectCAD’s tools and commands are engineered to speed up the design process from concept to implementation in various installation projects, from AV to electrical and IT.

AV Stumpfl announced their next generation Wings Vioso RX software which was shown for the first time at Integrated Systems Europe 2016. Aimed at quick and easy adoption by existing users, the familiar user interface has been given an extensive facelift with several performance and feature optimizations. The new render engine is based on x64 architecture and includes several base level algorithms, replacing standard operating system and driver functions.

Blizzard Lighting’s BlockHead Big Eye, a a 3×3 pixel matrix moving head with nine LEDs (15W RGBW quad-color OSRAM LEDs) features continuous pan and tilt. It also has a variable electronic dimmer and strobe and individual LED pixel control, and the LEDs promise a working life of of 100,000 hours of use.

LAS VEGAS — Rushworks will be featuring four new products to be unveiled at NAB 2016 in Booth SL 11808: the PTX Universal Pan/Tilt head (pictured here), Remo UbeRemote. Remo IsoTower and Talk-Take video switching software. The show’s exhibition floor will be open at the Las Vegas Convention Center April 18-21.

The Mega-Lite Drama LED W50 is a compact yet powerful ellipsoidal with a smooth, flat spotlight. This single source 50-watt LED fixture has a robust 2557 lumen output, yet only measures 14.5 inches long and weighs less than 5 pounds. It’s just the right size for a small to medium sized stage or venue. The Drama LED W50 has four lens options – 19, 26, 36 and 50-degrees – to best suit the throw requirements of the application. This unit also comes with four framing blades to let the user change the shape of the beam. The fixture also comes standard with a gobo holder used to project patterns and a gel frame holder used to change the color of the spotlight. The projection can be focused manually with the unit’s lens tube. Additionally, a manual iris accessory is available to adjust the diameter of the spotlight. The fixture’s housing is available in black or painted white. And, it is manufactured with a single mounting yoke for rigging. The Drama LED W50 is an on/off lighting fixture or a controllable unit. An external controller is available to control the fixture via DMX 512. It mounts on the side of the fixture’s single yoke. This gives the unit 255 steps of dimming and a flash mode. Additionally, four dimming curves offer varying speeds of fading to black. The controller is made to your specs with either 3-pin or 5-pin DMX connections. The unit houses an auto-switching power supply that operates from 100V to 240V. 

Blizzard Lighting’s Flurry Beam moving head features a sharp 2.5° beam angle, 540°/220° pan and tilt and 8/16-Bit resolution.

Pandoras Box Version 5.9 from coolux/Christie promises faster, more intuitive operation with a wider range of options, compatibility and user-friendly workflow solutions. Features include a standalone Kiosk Mode, a completely redesigned Patch-Tab, the addition of a Cues Tab for an overview of all cues, and an optimized Pandoras Box Codec.
