Christie says its Q Series projectors, including the new Christie DWU1052-Q and Christie DHD1052-Q, both feature improved warping and blending for more installation freedom, performance and imagery, reinforcing the company’s leadership in the 1DLP projector realm.

Chauvet Professional’s COLORdash S-Par 1 extends the company’s COLORdash LED series with an IP65-rated RGBA wash fixture that promises a major advance in LED color blending. Its 27 red, green, blue and amber LEDs are designed to appear, not as individual pixels, but as one large homogenized light source.  This eliminates the “color separation” that typically occurs during LED mixing.

Christie reports another industry benchmark with the recently launched HS Series laser phosphor projectors. The company says it includes the world’s brightest 1DLP laser phosphor projector. Featuring “BoldColor Technology” for richer, more vivid colors, and a 3X color wheel speed, the Christie D12HD-HS and Christie D12WU-HS respectively deliver HD and WUXGA resolution in a compact chassis that is the quietest 10,000+ lumens laser phosphor projector on the market.

ADJ’s XS Series includes compact single- and dual-axis moving heads equipped with 10W LEDs that serve up a sharp 5-degree beam angle. All are capable of 360-degree continuous rotation. The XS 600 offers continuous rotation of head and yoke. The XS 400 and XS 200 allow for continuous rotation, or spinning, of the head only.

MIDDLETON, WI – In PLSN‘s profile of 2015 Parnelli Visionary Award honoree David Cunningham (Sept. 2015, page 48), Cunningham alluded to a new LED project. “It won’t be a Source Four, but it will be interesting,” he promised. “This is one last project which has been the focus of the last two years and should come out soon.” PLSN then contacted ETC to confirm that its latest product, the ETC Source 4WRD, was the product Cunningham was working on. Middle Atlantic Products’ UTB Series Universal TechBox is designed to allow installers to mount AV equipment such as the Crestron 3-Series 4K DigitalMedia Presentation System 150 discreetly underneath a table surface within meeting spaces. The UTB Series Universal TechBox can also be used for other streaming solutions, as well as small devices, switchers, and interface accessories for audio, video, and/or HDMI.

Leica Geosystems’ DISTO laser distance meters and LINO self-leveling lasers promise to improve live entertainment production productivity and efficiency while delivering pinpoint accurate data to 1/16th of an inch. Flex Released 4.13.0 to customers in early January, 2016. The release included several new features, performance improvements, and bug fixes, including a much anticipated feature – assignable sound themes per user. Other new features include the ability to add a Resource Type selector on the schedule page for inventory models, a new interface when free scanning in non-serialized models, the “Scan Selected Items Out” option to the Ship Scan warehouse scanning screen and the Deprep Scan warehouse scanning screen, a “Hide if Zero” option to the Total Block settings and he ability to manually edit the price of a child tier (on a tiered pricing model) and have it calculate to the parent price, among other enhancements.

ADJ’s ON-X mobile LED effect fixture offers eight 3W LEDs and flexible dual-head movement. The two red, two green, two blue and two white 3W LEDs have a 4-degree beam angle for beams in a range of colors, 270 degrees tilt movement and eight-zone chasing. The fixtures can be mounted vertically or horizontally and used by themselves or in multiples for strobing effects or with 0-100 percent electronic dimming. The three operating modes include Show, Sound Active and DMX-Controlled options, all selected from the unit’s four-button LED display.
