Neutrik USA says its transparent SCCD-W spring-loaded cover, for the company’s D-size chassis powerCON Series connectors, is designed to shut automatically after unplugging the cable connector, sealing the chassis connectors against dust and water. Similar in concept to the company’s SCDX fliptop covers, which provide IP42 ingress protection, the SCCD-W spring-loaded cover allows for an IP65 rating.

D.T.S. Lighting’s MAX L, like the company’s MAX, offers users four different types of projection with a single moving head: Beam, Spot, Wash, and Studio. Although both fixtures make use of Philips’ MSD Platinum 16R 330W (16K lumen) light source and share many other characteristics, the MAX L offers a few differences in terms of beam angles and optical specs, and the company touts the beam, in studio mode, as being “evenly diffused as never before.”

CAST Software announced the release of its wysiwyg version R33 recently. The new version promises more than 10 new features addressing the needs of lighting designers, multimedia and production professionals while promising a new level of added realism, maximum creativity and return on investment.

d3 Technologies announced that its pro range, including two new media servers, the d3 4x4pro (pictured here) and the d3 4x2pro (pictured below), is now shipping. The company says its new pro range is fully compatible with existing d3 products that have been upgraded to r11.2, the company’s latest software release.

At InfoComm 2014, Harman’s Martin Professional featured additions to its VC-Grid and VC-Strip LED video solutions, including 15, 25, 30 and 60 mm pixel pitch products for architectural installations, stage design, and television set design.

UltraVista Systems’ FanFX 3D is now available. Following up on the company’s late 2013 release of its ISIS 3D (Illuminated Suspended Image System), FanFX 3D promises to serve as an even lighter (2 lbs.), thinner (1”-thick) and less expensive signage solution that offers a transparent look, illuminated frame and 3D artwork within its slim, lightweight profile.  FanFX 3D comes in two sizes 11”x14” and 14”x18” in a wide variety of colors and mounting options.

Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc. announced the release of 3D Modeling with Vectorworks, Sixth Edition, authored by Vectorworks trainer Jonathan Pickup. The company notes that Pickup updated the book to reflect the upgrades incorporated in Vectorworks 2014 Software.

PR Lighting’s XLED 1061 starts with the company’s XLED 1037 model and, to meet demands for larger scale applications, adds additional LED light sources. With 24 additional modules added to the XLED 1037’s 37 10W RGBW LEDs, the XLED 1061 features a total 61 of the modules, all with a projected life of 50,000 hours of use.

LAS VEGAS – Lightware Visual Engineering has furthered its support of HDBaseT with its HDBaseT-enabled 65×65 and 80×80 modular matrix switchers and the new UMX-TPS product family, featuring HDBaseT extenders. The new UMX-TPS product line includes HDBaseT extenders that can transmit universal video at resolutions up to 4K, audio, and control up to 180 meters over one CAT cable.  The UMX-TPS-TX140 transmission unit is compatible with both Lightware’s HDBaseT extenders and matrix switchers.
