The Mega-Lite Axis QD7 from Mega Systems Inc. is a compact moving head beam with pixel control allowing for unique visual looks. The unit’s seven 12W RGBW quad color LED modules are individually programmable. Compared with RGB LED fixtures, the RGBW design is sait to allow for smoother color washing and improved pastel shades. Each LED has a relatively narrow 8° beam, making the fixture’s effects punchy and bold.

J.R. Clancy says its new Varion Versatility Hoist is well suited for retrofits with tight spaces and can be used for front-of-house and onstage applications. Unconstrained by the width of the theatre space, the Varion hoist can be installed so that its first line can be dropped within inches of the wall. It can be mounted on any existing infrastructure, including a building’s bar joist, without causing horizontal stresses on the structure. It can be used for electrics, curtains, drops, or front-of-house stage lighting or speakers.

The W-DIMm3 is a wireless DMX receiver with three dimmers housed in a miniature device; it measures 80mm x 40mm x 20mm.

Le Maitre calls its new Salamander Quad Pro the “big brother” to the Salamander flame units introduced last year. A four-canister system, the Salamander Quad Pro can be operated with each canister firing independently. Operators can also choose multiple colors, allowing for a variety of visual effects from a single machine — either sequentially (for increased effect duration) or at the same time (for a much bigger single flame). There are up to 120 hits in total, with flames reaching 4 meters in height.
