Global Truss America introduced a new line of clamps that are designed to quickly and easily attach fixtures to 48mm – 50m tube truss. The new Quick Rig Clamps use a hook style design that incorporates a self-locking system.  The low profile, shallow-fitting clamps helps keeps fixtures closer to the trussing. The clamps are available in standard aluminum and black powder coating and are TUV approved with a maximum load of 551 pounds.

The Blizzard Toughstick 5 features 9 15-watt RGBAW LEDs in a half-meter long anodized aluminum enclosure.  The entire fixture is sealed to prevent water from entering the fixture.  It has an IP rating of 65, suitable for wet locations.  Connections for the fixture use IP rated AC power cord and DMX in/out cables.

The cordset has a patented Pro Lock connector that smoothly clamps onto any 15A Straight Blade Plug for a safe and strong (no pull-out) connection. PixelFlex has added a new 12mm High-Resolution LED Video Curtain to their line. The 12mm panel measure 10.49′ x 2.62′ and weighs in at 21.6 lbs per panel. The 12mm panel provides a variety of video display options for operation and set up using a computer with a DVI-D connection. The panel is flexible in all directions and can bend around shapes and structures for imaginative display effect.

HyperActive YoYo comes in various shapes and sizes to create dynamic lighting effects. Each light has red, green, and blue colors that are dimmable, and can also be strobed. There are 8 DMX channels that provide full control over the operation of light and the movements of the lift. Custom designs and configuration are available.

The SX20, a recently added fixture to Times Square Lighting’s Xicato range of LED fixtures, is a 28.8W, 2000 Lumen LED fixture available in 100-277 volts. The fixture’s LED light source has an operating life expectancy of 50,000 hours.  It’s built with an integral electronic driver and has 20, 40 and 60 degree field-changeable reflectors. The choice of color temperature includes 2700, 3000, 3500 and 4000 degrees K, with a CRI greater than or equal to 80. A model with dimmer is also available as an option.

Nemetschek Vectorworks announced that its mobile application, Vectorworks Nomad, will support the new iOS 7 mobile operating system, matching the new user interface look and feel.

Elation Professional says its Satura Spot LED Pro 300W RGBW moving head is as bright as a traditional 575-watt discharge fixture while consuming only about half as much energy. The company adds that the LED engine will continue to work to brighten stages long after traditional fixture light sources require replacement.
