TRUSST launches its first line of trussing and related components at InfoComm 2012. The aluminum truss system, backed by Chauvet, uses modular components and a conical connector system to easily mate with other brands of truss of the same size and connector style.

Christie has expanded its 3-chip DLP platform by introducing the Christie D4K25 and new 14,000 lumen Christie M Series models. The new projectors target a variety of applications that require high brightness, superior performance and vivid, clear images.

Axess by SurgeX is an IP addressable, surge eliminating and power conditioning management system that allows integrators to monitor and control power distribution platforms via the Internet. This system can customize, synthesize and monitor individual outlets and power settings on integrated IP-enabled devices via remote access. Custom sequences can be created across the entire network with e-mail notifications sent about various power phenomena, based on user-defined conditions.

An integrated miniature projector that can display images on a much larger surface than existing displays is the next giant leap for smart phones and cameras. This is known as embedded projection and uses LEDs as the light source. The greatest challenge so far for lighting technology has been the limited efficiency of the green light emitting diodes. This is because high brightness is essential if the projected image will be seen with ambient light.  LEDs that produce green light with acceptable luminance were not available.  The new Osram Ostar Projection Cube has now filled this gap.

Daktronics partnered with GKD Metal Fabrics on Mediamesh, a stainless steel mesh with thin, horizontal Daktronics LED strips placed at custom vertical intervals. The product, designed for use with architectural applications, can transform a building’s façade into a dynamic communications medium. Daktronics Inc. is introducing a new four millimeter transportable LED video display product that consists of a lightweight cabinet designed specifically for ease of setup and tear-down, which can now be accomplished by a single person. The four-millimeter pixel pitch promises a viewing experience unmatched in contrast and definition, particularly well-suited for close-up viewing. A sealed field-replaceable unit encases power and signal components for easy servicing if necessary.

The Philips Selecon PLCyc1 LED builds on the technology of the PL1 Spot and PL3 Wash luminaires. It uses a mixing chamber designed to homogenize the RGBW colors for color washing cycloramas up to 5 meters high.  Using LED source technology combined with an asymmetrical reflector, the PLCyc1 LED delivers consistent light distribution without the compromising performance of vertical or horizontal spreader lenses.

Elektralite introduces eye Kandy fixture, a combination wash and spot fixture, to its Pro Line of LED fixtures. At the heart of eye Kandy is a 200-watt white LED running at 150 watts. Its spot source can be used as a pencil beam of light. Colors are achieved using the 7 dichroic filters. Sixteen 3-watt LEDs surrounding the front lens are formatted and can be controlled in quadrants.

With its 25G Hybrid Matrix, Lightware U.S.A. reinvents the meaning of the matrix switch.  Until now systems have operated in two dimensions, with inputs and outputs.  But Lightware has now added a third dimension – media layers – and set a new standard for the AV industry.

Prism Projection’s RevEAL Studio.3 LED Fresnel offers the ability to tune the high CRI white light from 2700-8000K, output of more than 9000 lumens, fully functional barn doors, and a flat beam from 10 to 90 degrees. Other highlights include plus-minus green-magenta correction.
