Houselights must provide emergency illumination, but DMX-controlled LEDs and other light sources typically return to a default setting during a system fault, and that state is usually all off. That can leave the hall completely dark. ETC’s DMX Emergency Bypass Controller addresses this situation. Using a single DMX512 universe, it allows DMX512-controlled lights to function as normal or emergency fixtures.

Mega-Lite’s Q-Loader is an RGB DMX lighting controller that offers pre-loaded scenes for easily changing the looks of RGB fixtures. It can control up to 16 fixtures and 10 channels per fixture. New scenes can be uploaded, downloaded and stored to the Q-loader via USB port on the front of the unit. It weighs less than 3 lbs. and measures 12 inches wide.

Blizzard Lighting’s battery operated flat LED par can, the Puck3 Unplugged, is powered by 9 Edison 3-watt tri-color LEDs. It features the same features as the original Puck 3 with the addition of an internal rechargeable, field-replaceable Intelion intelligent lithium-ion battery system. The Puck3 Unplugged  can be powered by either the internal rechargeable battery or direct AC.

Synthe FX’s Luminair for iPad v2 is a full-featured mobile lighting control platform, capable of controlling all DMX compliant gear including LED fixtures, conventional lighting, dimmers, media servers, and more, using any Art-Net or sACN to DMX interface. Via iCloud support, automatically sync Luminair projects, fixures, images, and other documents between multiple iPads. It is now available for download through the App Store on iPad or through iTunes.

Elation Flex Pixel WP is a 3 meter (10 ft.) tri-color SMD LED flexible tape with Pixel Control and a water resistant covering. Each tape features 72 tri-color (red, green, blue) LED pixels, allowing the user to cut and extend the tape every 100mm (4 inches) to fit a variety of design applications. Control it with the Flex Pixel Driver 1 or the remote Flex Pixel IR wireless receiver and remote driver. Built-in chase effects make it easy to use for any design application.

CHAUVET Q-Wash 560Z-LED is powered by 91 3W RGBWA Cree LEDs and produces flicker-free output, while maintaining quiet operation. With color mixing and a 6-32 degree zoom, the unit is designed for highlights or flood washes.

The Mega Slim Coupler from The Light Source is a lower profile option for smaller light fixtures (pictured on the left). It is half the size and weighs 30 percent less than the standard Mega-Coupler, yet fits the same. The Mega Slim will fasten from 1-1/4″ pipe (1.66 OD) to 2.050 OD Truss Tube.

Times Square Lighting’s LSAR111R is a modern alternative to track lighting that uses 15W LED lamps for energy efficiency. In configurations with one to four lights per unit,  the unit blends into the ceiling and can be installed with or without trim. Each lamp is individually adjustable, with lamp holders allowing pan/tilt and 360 degree rotation.
