Wybron’s Cygnus Incite 375W Profile uses LED technology to combine a bright profile light with new color mixing technology and a high color rendering index of 92. The fixture offers a 6400 lumen field, while only consuming a maximum of 375W, promising up to 10 times the brightness of competing fixtures.

AUSTIN, TX — Shock Boxx, a new pre-rig lighting truss shock system designed to protect truss-mounted lighting and video equipment in transport, is the result of a collaboration between Heather Roberts of Kai Knox Technologies and Scott Almand of Scott Almand Designs.

ORLANDO — Christie’s D4K35 projector, introduced at InfoComm 2011, offers 4K (4096 x 2160) resolution for the Pro-AV market. Targeted at applications requiring high resolution and brightness – including amusement parks, large auditoriums, museums, planetariums, virtual reality settings, and automotive designers using CAD. The Christie D4K35 projector delivers 35,000 lumens with DLP quality and reliability.

ORLANDO — Chief, a provider of professional AV solutions, joined Brightsign, flixio and Philips to create a digital video arch for the Digital Signage Pavilion at InfoComm11. The arch, consisting of Brightsign digital controllers, Philips commercial displays, flixio content and Fusion mounts, reached a height of 108 feet (33 meters) and spanned more than 139 feet in length (42 meters).

Barco’s HDX-W12 has the same on-board image processing, servicing and preview mode features as the W14, but offers 12,000 lumens and a xenon lamp life of 2,500 hours. (Barco’s HDX-W14 projector, launched earlier this year, also features Barco’s ImagePRO signal processor.)

Vaddio added the ClearVIEW HD-19 high definition PTZ camera with SmartSHOT technology to its ClearVIEW line of cameras. Equipped with a 19x optical zoom lens, it is built around a 1.3 megapixel, 1/3-Type Sony Exmor high-speed, low-noise CMOS image sensor. Integrated SmartSHOT technology with AIP (Adjustable Image Processing) allows for greater user control over DSP functions, helping them enhance color and sharpness in changing lighting conditions and adjusting the DSP to suit the venue. The camera also offers image stabilization and iris/shutter control for outdoor events.

Checkers Industrial Safety Products has updated its Guard Dog five-channel cable/hose protectors with four through-holes (with an inside diameter of .21”) that can be used for temporary mounting with either nails or screws. The cable/hose protectors have also been updated with pry slots under each through-hole to simplify removal when the cable protector is fastened down. If the user’s application simply requires increased traction on smooth surfaces, an optional rubber pad kit is also available.

High Resolution Engineering’s new DVI over fiber video extension kits support Lightware USA’s DVI-OPT series of transmitters and receivers. The company also offers rentals of Lightware’s 80×80 Multi-Format DVI/Fiber matrix, which converts the video signal internally in the matrix and eliminates the need for extra DVI-to-fiber converters.

Juice Goose’s iP 1520 web-based power controller provides remote power control to six receptacles grouped into three individual Power Pods. Each of these Pods can be turned on and off individually from anywhere users can find web access.

Da-Lite’s expanded line of HD Progressive screen surfaces includes HD Progressive 1.1 Perf material, an acoustically-transparent front projection fabric that allows speakers to be placed directly behind the screen. The new screen material is available on tensioned electric and fixed frame screens. It’s a washable surface with a gain of 1.1 and a viewing half angle of 85 degrees, with virtually no sound loss for HD applications.

ArKaos’ A30 Media Server, which runs MediaMaster software, is designed for strength, vibration protection, heat tolerance and efficient air flow. Fans protected by dust filters are at the front of the unit and can be accessed with a special door for easy servicing, and the case also has a display on the front which lets the unit be used without connecting to an external display. An LED strip on the front cover also displays the server’s state of operation. The back of the case features Neutrik connectors and XLR connectors for audio input and output. The unit comes with a library of digital media, and it pre-configured to work directly with a wide range of DMX lighting desks. The ArKaos A30 allows for playback of nine simultaneous HD layers or six Full HD* layers on up to 6 outputs.
