Cameo Illuminates the Coronation Concert for King Charles III at Windsor Castle

May 6th, the world turned its eyes to Westminster Abbey. The coronation of King Charles III was held here in front of 2,300 invited guests. One day later, more than 20,000 visitors attended another Royal highlight: in front of the magnificent scenery of Windsor Castle, the official Coronation Concert took place with live performances by global stars such as Katy Perry, Take That, and Lionel Richie as well as an emotional speech by Prince William. An ADJ heavy lighting rig incorporating Focus Profile moving head and Jolt Panel FX static LED luminaires, amongst other fixtures, was used to illuminate a recent sold-out concert by Easton Corbin at Yucaipa Performing Arts Center in California. disguise has announced integration with ZeroSpace’s SpoutBridge, a tool that bridges the Spout technology with disguise RenderStream to facilitate production for xR and live events. The ZeroSpace engineering team, a next-generation media production facility and research lab in downtown Brooklyn, NY, worked with disguise to open up access to ZeroSpace’s Spout technology within the disguise user community. GLP JDC1 Hybrids Track Skiing/Snowboarding Tricks on the Slopes of Canada’s Big Air Show

Crowds congregate annually at the base of the ‘Smart Alec’ ski trail in Ontario to watch the province’s finest freestyle skiers and snowboarders perform choreographed flips and tricks off the 50’ Big Air Jump, accompanied by music, lights, fireworks, and all manner of show sizzle. To provide this for the Big Air Show, as the event is known, required the building of a technical infrastructure, with towers rigged with 24 of GLP’s ultra-versatile JDC1 hybrid strobes so that spectators could track the action coming down the 200’ slope and onto the landing ramp. The Writers Guild of America (WGA) is On Strike

 

 

Late Monday evening, May 1, 2023 negotiations between the WGA and AMPTP (the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers) ended and with only three hours left on their current contract the WGA went on strike, 12:01 AM PT, 3:01AM ET on Tuesday, May 2. Picket lines in LA were up by 1 PM PT. The WGA Membership is ~20,000 and the AMPTP Membership is 350-plus TV and film production companies.
