Summer Night Concert with the Vienna Philharmonic Returns, Lit by More than 250 GLP Moving Lights

VIENNA – Every summer since 2004 (except for 2020, when the concert was postponed to autumn), the Vienna Philharmonic has presented a large open-air concert in the park at Schönbrunn Palace. LD Jerry Appelt’s lighting design, which made use of GLP impression S350 fixtures, could be seen by both the limited (3,000) live show attendees and others watching from close to 80 countries via broadcast.

Jesus Christ Superstar Production Lit with Robe Fixtures

COPENHAGEN – Coinciding with Denmark’s “Freedom Day” – the lifting of all the current coronavirus restrictions – in September, an innovative production of Jesus Christ Superstar at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena was staged with a lighting and stage design by Sune Verdier. The Robe moving light rig included close to 150 fixtures supplied by European Tour Production (ETP).

Tom Kenny Balances Live and Broadcast Looks for iHeartRadio Music Festival with Chauvet Professional

LAS VEGAS – After being limited to virtual performances in 2020, the iHeartRadio Music Festival returned to T-Mobile Arena as a live event in mid-September. LD Tom Kenny lit the top acts for the live audience while also ensuring the A-List treatment for the stars seen via livestream. The taped show will also be aired on The CW network in early October. 4Wall supplied the rig, which included 124 Chauvet Maverick MK3 Wash fixtures.
