The ARTE Concert Festival in Paris Goes Virtual in Paris, Lit with Claypaky and ADB Fixtures

PARIS – LD Pierre Claude deployed seven Claypaky A.leda B-EYE K10 fixtures, two dozen Claypaky HY B-EYE K25 LED washes and 16 ADB SVOBODA classic batten fixtures for the live musical performances shot at La Gaite Lyrique in Paris from Nov. 13-15. The streaming shows featured Sebastien Tellier, Lous and the Yakuza and Yelle.

Malmo Opera’s Socially Distanced “Funny Girl” Production Includes Astera Fixtures

MALMO, Sweden – The Malmo Opera presented an acclaimed production of musical classic Funny Girl as part of the autumn/winter repertory program. Although the show went on, the production plan changed dramatically to minimize Covid-19 infection risks. For starters, the live audience was limited to 50 socially distanced attendees. Other ticket holders could watch via a livestream for each performance. LD Fredrik Jonsson used the Opera’s supply of Astera fixtures to create some memorable looks.

Michael T. Strickland To Testify Before Senate on Dec. 15

WASHINGTON, DC – Bandit Lites founder and chair Michael T. Strickland has been invited to testify before the U.S. Senate on Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. about the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the live event industry. Strickland has worked as one of the most visible and vocal advocates for the industry since the mass cancellations of live events took place this March.
