Fire Fight Australia Concert Raises $9.5+ Million for Bushfire Relief

SYDNEY – Fire Fight Australia drew 70,000 to Sydney’s ANZ Stadium for 9.5 hours of music on Feb. 16 that included a Queen + Adam Lambert throwback to the original band’s 22-minute set during Live Aid in 1985. Other acts included Five Seconds of Summer, Michael Bublé, Alice Cooper, k.d. lang, John Farnham and Olivia Newton-John. The event, broadcast live in Australia and taped for U.S. and U.K. broadcasts, raised more than $9.5 million, and merchandise sales continue.

Severina Dazzles the Balkans, Lit with Robe Fixtures

ZAGREB, Croatia – Croatian singer-songwriter and actress Severina impressed the crowds at four major arena concerts in the Balkans last fall, performing at Zagreb and  Split, Croatia; Belgrade, Serbia; and the Dvorana Stožice in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Slovenian LD Crt Birsa lit the shows with a rig that included more than 150 Robe moving lights for the three concerts in Croatia and Slovenia.

Ayrton Diablos Shine for “NFL Honors” Broadcast

MIAMI – LD Jon Kusner used Ayrton Diablo LED profile luminaires supplied by PRG to supplement the house rig at Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center for the ninth Annual NFL Honors, staged on Feb. 1, the day before Super Bowl LIV. The awards presentation, hosted by Steve Harvey, honored NFL players for their performance during the 2019 season.
