LAS VEGAS — The 17th annual Parnelli Awards gala, held Friday, Jan. 26 at the Anaheim Hilton during NAMM 2018, brought together more than 600 of the live event production industry’s top achievers to honor Bobby “Boomer” Thrasher, Jonathan Smeeton and John Stadius with the Lifetime Achievement Award, Visionary Award and Audio Innovator Award, respectively. Super Bowl LII Halftime Show Features Medley of Timberlake Hits, Tribute to Prince

MINNEAPOLIS — Between the time Justin Timberlake kicked off the Super Bowl LII halftime show on Feb. 4, 2018 to his final wave goodbye less than 14 minutes later, the singer and his energetic entourage performed a medley of 10 hits from Timberlake’s own 26-year career along with a tribute to local legend Prince that included an aerial shot as a vast swath of Minneapolis was washed in purple lighting. The production team supporting the show, seen by millions on NBC, included PRG (Lighting), VER (Video), Strictly FX (Pyro), All Access Staging and Production (Staging) and ATK Audiotek.

Bandit Lites Launches 50th Year With Annual Meeting

NASHVILLE – Bandit Lites kicked off its 50th year with its Annual General Meeting, a gathering of all Bandits from around the country to commemorate the previous year’s successes, laud those with significant anniversaries and outstanding service and to devise the groundwork for the upcoming year’s projects. Lightswitch and Elation Lighting Magic at Descanso Gardens “Enchanted Forest of Light”

LOS ANGELES – This past holiday season marked the second year Lightswitch designed “Enchanted Forest of Light” at Descanso Gardens and the fifth year of “Illumination” at Morton Arboretum, creating visually stunning and memorable experiences using a bevy of fixtures including Elation’s IP65 -rated Proteus arc-source moving heads. The Elation fixtures were among more than 400 fixtures that 4Wall provided for the Descanso Gardens attraction, which was open from Nov. 19, 2017 to Jan. 7, 2018.
