PLSN learned of the passing of Martin “Martee” Nuruddin, Vice President of PRG Orlando on April 14th. Nuruddin, born on February 15, 1954, was 68. He was a 44-year member of IATSE Local One, having been initiated on February 2, 1978. He worked throughout the Broadway jurisdiction and started his career as an apprentice at Vanco in New York. Rising country star Jimmie Allen kicked off his first headlining trek, the Down Home tour, with lighting provided by Bandit Lites. The multi-platinum singer-songwriter performed his single, “Down Home,” at the Grammy Awards ceremony in Las Vegas on April 3, less than a month after its release. The song will also be on Allen’s third album, ‘Tulip Drive,’ which is due out June 24.
