Chuck Schumer and Jerry Seinfeld Stand Up for Save Our Stages Act in NYC

NEW YORK – Wearing masks, comedian Jerry Seinfeld joined New York senator Chuck Schumer at the Gotham Comedy Club on 23rd Street in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood Sept. 13 to stand up for the “Save Our Stages Act.” The comedy club, where Seinfeld got his start, is one of many live entertainment venues on the brink due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Community Partners Feed Minnesota Music Industry Over Labor Day

In Memoriam: Lori Tierney, 58

DENVER – Lori Tierney, credited by production manager Charlie Hernandez for the idea to create the nonprofit “Just a Bunch of Roadies” organization, died July 24 after a long battle with cancer. She was 58. Tierney played a key role on the industry’s biggest tours and is remembered for her generosity and big smile along with her skills as a smart and pragmatic problem-solver.

Madlife Stage & Studio in Georgia Hosts Live Events Lit with Elation Fixtures

Canadian Sites to Light Up Red for “Day of Visibility” on Sept. 22

CANADA – Canada’s live events industry is joining together to issue a “red alert” on Sept. 22. Like the U.S. campaign on Sept. 1, and earlier initiatives in the U.K. and Europe this summer, the Day of Visibility, backed by CITT/ICTS, will bring attention to the industry’s plight. While “not a protest,” the event will signal gratitude for programs like CERB, CEWS, arts and heritage grants, and remind Canadians of the need for continued support “until the lights are back on for good.”
