Cincinnati Music Hall Modernizes with ETC while Preserving History

CINCINNATI, OH – Built in 1878, Cincinnati Music Hall has long housed performances by the Cincinnati Ballet, Symphony Orchestra, Opera and more. Its ornate architectural features earned the building its status as a National Historic Landmark by the U.S. Department of the Interior. Nearing 40 years since its most recent renovation, the venue needed a major remodeling to improve its infrastructure and audience experience. Along with audio enhancements, the designers and project managers relied on ETC technologies including GDS ArcLamps along with an electrical overhaul that added new lighting positions at the balcony rail and ceiling.

Tony Awards Winners Announced in 72nd Ceremony

NEW YORK – The 72nd annual Tony Awards, honoring Broadway musicals and plays staged during the 2017-2018 season, was held June 10 at Radio City Music Hall, hosted by Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles and broadcast live on CBS. Top award winners included The Band’s Visit (10, including best lighting and sound design of a musical), Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (6, including best scenic design of a play) and Angels in America (3). Winners of backstage design categories included Neil Austin and Tyler Micoleau (lighting) and David Zinn and Christine Jones (scenic design).

K-Love Fan Awards Shine with Bandit Lites

NASHVILLE – The sixth annual K-LOVE Fan Awards returned to Nashville for an evening honoring contemporary Christian artists and hailed as the only fan-voted awards in Christian entertainment. Bandit Lites provided the lighting for the event, which featured 15 live performances and appearances including Natalie Grant, Hillsong Worship and Casting Crowns.

GULF SHORES, AL – For the Surf Stage at the Hangout Music Festival, held in Gulf Shores, AL from May 18-20, Bandit Lites provided Rogue RH1 Hybrid moving fixtures from Chauvet Professional and Ilumipanels from sister company Iluminarc.
