LOS ANGELES – Formerly Qtopia, The Vanguard and, most recently, Create, the nightclub located at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Gower Street opened its doors as Academy in January. The new club features a visual design by SJ Lighting led by Steve Lieberman, with a rig that includes Elation Platinum Beam 5R fixtures and Pixel Bar LED battens. The club is a joint venture backed by Exchange L.A. and Insomniac.
