High End Systems Sponsors Stage Lighting Super Saturday 2018.

This isa really quite mover that will please just about everyone.” This marks High End’s first Super Saturday as an ETC company.The 13th Annual Stage Lighting Super Saturday workshop, continuing its practical and hands-on educational presentations, will take place on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts located at 721 Broadway in New York City.

LOS ANGELES – How many gigs can a 19-piece rockabilly band do in 48 days?  This year, the Brian Setzer Orchestra’s 14th Annual Christmas Rocks Tour will play an impressive 35 dates from Nov. 10 to Dec. 28.  Opening in Minneapolis and closing in Bellingham, WA, the US tour will be followed by concerts in Japan early next year.  Highlighting the set is a 12-foot high marquee featuring 172 IMS Mk2 RGBW lamps.

The fixtures were bright enough to deliver an impact even when Counting Crows performed before sunset.

NEW YORK, NY-  Red Roses, Green Gold, a new musical featuring the music of Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter, opened last month at the Minetta Lane Theatre. Lighting Designer Jamie Roderick utilized gear from 4Wall Entertainment to help tell the tale of Jackson Jones and his family of swindlers as they gamble their way to love and riches. The story centers around the Jones family at the Palace Saloon in Cumberland, USA. The set for the musical is mostly made up of wood paneling and requires lighting and projections to usher the audience to an array of locations in Cumberland.

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – It is hailed as “Country music’s biggest night,” but Kelsea Ballerini was up bright and early for a performance on Good Morning America to kick off the festivities. Bandit Lites supplied the lighting package for the outdoor stage that overlooked the city’s skyline and Nissan Stadium as millions tuned in to hear Ballerini and find out the first two winners of the 51st Annual CMA Awards.

OAKLAND, CA – Australian electronic band Rufus Du Sol recently began their 2017 North America Autumn tour playing two sell-out shows at Oakland’s Fox Theater, along with headlining slots at CRSSD Fest in San Diego, CA and Austin City Limits in Austin, TX. LD Matthew Smith, of Australian lighting design firm Colourblind, provided energetic visuals to match Rufus’ style. Helping to create these effects were the well-established impression X4 Bar 20 and impression X4 S from GLP, supplied by VER, along with all other lighting and audio requirements.
