MANCHESTER, NH – Million Dollar Quartet takes audiences back to December 4, 1956, a day when budding stars Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley got together for a jam session at Sun Records Memphis studio. A recent revival of the musical at the Palace Theatre in Manchester, New Hampshire captures the magic of that long ago moment, thanks in part to a transformative lightshow designed by Carl Rajotte, who also served as artistic director and choreographer.

LOUISVILLE, KY – The Forecastle Music Festival returned to Louisville’s Waterfront Park for three days of music spread across 85 acres. Bandit Lites supplied the lighting for the festival’s four stages, where more than 60,000 attendees enjoyed musical performances from Run the Jewels, Cage the Elephant, Odesza, Sturgill Simpson, PJ Harvey, Spoon, Weezer, LCD Soundsystem and nearly 50 other acts.

Linkin Park Cancels North American Tour

LOS ANGELES – Live Nation announced that Linkin Park’s North American tour in support of the band’s 2017 album release, One More Light, has been canceled. Frontman Chester Bennington, 41, was found dead July 20, one week before the North American tour was due to launch at the Xfinity Center near Boston, MA. The North American tour leg was to start in Boston July 27 and wrap up in Los Angeles on Oct. 22.

For the City of Plugerville’s annual July 4th Celebration, the Texas town relied on local vendor Miguel Lara Productions to provide the lighting equipment, featuring their High End Systems automated LED rig and HOG4 control, purchased through Austin-based LightParts, Inc. Michael Ojeda of MLP spearheaded the lighting portion of the project, and spec’d four SHAPESHIFTER C1’s and six SolaWash 37s for the event at the city’s new stadium, the Pfield.

French Singer Dies on Stage; Reports Cite Electrocution as Possible Cause

GOURDON, France – French vocalist Barbara Weldens, 35, was performing at the Festival Léo Ferré in a church in southwest France on the evening of July 19 when she suddenly collapsed and died on stage. The cause of death, still officially unknown, has been reported as cardiac arrest from apparent electrocution. Weldens, who had said on her website that she grew up traveling in a circus, was on the rise, releasing her first album this year after winning the young talent award at the Jacques Brel festival and the Pic D’Or prize last year.

SAN FERNANDO, CA– GLP’s subsidiary for The Americas, GLP Inc., has been experiencing continued growth since starting its operation eight years ago. As a result, they have recently moved to new, and larger premises in the Los Angeles district of San Fernando. With a total area of 37,000 square feet, the new building is around three times the size of the previous location, also in Los Angeles.
