Theatre Communications Group Receives Support from National Endowment for the Arts

NEW YORK, NY – Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, was awarded $100,000 by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) as part of its second round of funding for FY 2017. As the only funder in the country to support arts activities in all 50 states and five U.S. jurisdictions, the NEA will award 1,195 grants totaling $84.06 million to support organizations that employ artists and cultural workers to provide programs for thousands of people from Idaho to Maine; in urban centers such as Cleveland, Ohio and Dallas, Texas; and in rural towns as different as Haines, Alaska and Whitesburg, Kentucky.

Bandit Lites Illuminates Bonnaroo Tower with SGM G-Spots

MANCHESTER, TN – Working with LD Andi Watson and production manager William Irons, Bandit Lites once again provided the lighting for the tower at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, deploying SGM G-Spot fixtures. The top of the tower, a focal point for Bonnaroo, features a large rotating mirror ball. It is actually a permanent structure that serves as a North Star of sorts to the festival attendees, allowing them to navigate more easily through the 700-acre festival site.

Rogues Reflect Many Moods of Bruce Hornsby Concert for John Berret

AUGUSTA, GA – After three Grammy Awards, over 100 shows with the Grateful Dead, and 11 million record sales, Bruce Hornsby hasn’t lost his taste for touring. The legendary singer-songwriter is crisscrossing the US with his band The Noisemakers this summer and enjoying every minute of it.  Touring is fun, Hornsby told an interviewer, because he and the band “keep the spontaneity factor high.”  This free flowing spirit was very much in evidence when the Hornsby tour bus pulled into the Columbia County Amphitheatre in June, both in terms of the music performed on stage and the John Berret designed lightshow that backed it up note for free flowing note.
